This is our new pal, Thomas. We got him fixed up with a new leg a few weeks ago. Right before this photo, he untied the boot on his prosthetic foot to show some sawdust on his sock. He said, “This is what I’m happiest about. This means I’ve been back to work.”
#Skip1Thing with Giving Tuesday
It’s that time of year when we start thinking about
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CHANGE A LIFE? With Steps of Faith, not as much as you’d think.
Thanks to our vast network of donating doctors, direct access to the manufacturing of the limbs and our organization’s low overhead costs, we are able provide complete prosthetic parts, care and peer support for each amputee in need for around $1,000.
We’ve all heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Well, in case you didn’t know, there’s also a great day that follows all the shopping madness calledGiving Tuesday. On Tuesday, December 1st, we’ll be celebrating GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. All over the world, people will be helping charities, families, and others in need. “The world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give,” and we hope you’ll consider Steps of Faith in your giving.
It’s a really easy “step” to make. (Pun intended!) We just ask that you #Skip1Thing the next time you’re shopping. Whether it’s on Cyber Monday or the you’re at the store doing your holiday break, we ask that you consider passing on one item you were going to buy and send that amount to Steps of Faith as a gift to a patient in need. Our goal is to raise $20,000, by the end of the year and help 20 amputees start the new year off right. Every little bit makes a difference and we know with your help, we can make it happen.
Of course you don’t have to wait until December 1st.
You can make a donation to Steps of Faith at anytime, so we can provide prosthetic care for people like Thomas (above), and others we’ve been fortunate enough to help. Click HERE to donate today!
