What is going on?

I am at a loss regarding the direction our country is taking. We are embracing immorality at an alarming rate. What happened to the tenets upon which our nation was founded? We have forgotten that this nation was founded on Christian principles and religious freedom. Our forefathers founded this nation because they wanted religious freedom. They did not want to have a certain religion forced upon them, as was the case in the old world. Americans were given religious freedom – the freedom to choose what religion they practiced. Make no mistake about it, most of our founding fathers were Christians. They believed in the ten commandments. They believed in God.

During the past few years, America’s politicians and judiciary have become increasingly hostile towards Christianity and Christian values. School prayer was removed. Then, the ten commandments were removed from schools. Now, the ten commandments and anything representing or symbolizing Christianity is being attacked by an atheist minority. This minority wants everything that represents Christianity removed from our nation.

Let’s look at what has happened to our schools since God was kicked out. Our children are attacked with guns and knives. They do not respect their teacher’s and principal’s authority. Learning has diminished. Our children are graduating from our schools as illiterate. We no longer lead the world academically. Science and math scores for our children are far below that of other nations. Our children are our future and we certainly are not doing them any favors by allowing them to graduate with low scores.

Then, we have the embracing of homosexuality. The bible tells us that homosexuality is wrong. Most Americans do not want marriage to be redefined. However, the vocal minority is shoving this down our throats. One homosexual judge overturned the will of the people in California. Remember that our founding fathers created three separate branches of government, the executive branch, the legislative branch, and the judicial branch. This represented a system that provided checks and balance and no one branch was to dominate the others. However, our current judiciary has decided to ignore this and has decided to legislate from the bench. Why are we letting this happen? We need to stand-up and let our voices be heard. Otherwise, you can forget about freedom. The small minority will impose their will on the majority. You might as well kiss your freedom goodbye.

Do you believe that murder is wrong? Amazingly, we allow murder to occur every day across our nation and think nothing of it. In fact, we call it freedom. Are you shocked by this statement? What am I talking about? I am referring to abortion. Women have the right (freedom) to abort their unborn child. Abortion is wrong and against God’s commandments. All children, born and unborn, are precious. Yet, we allow them to be killed. The abortionists tell you that the child is just a blob of tissue and does not feel pain. That is utterly a bunch of garbage. There is a child growing inside. A child who very much feels pain. How can someone inflict pain and death upon someone who cannot defend themselves? We are to protect our children. Yet, every day we turn our backs on these innocents. We are no better than the worshipers of Baal. They took their infants and smashed their heads against the ground as a sacrifice to Baal. They also burned their infants alive as a sacrifice to Baal. We think them cruel and condemn them. But isn’t the suctioning of an infant’s brain while it is inside their mother’s womb just as cruel, if not more so?

Read this from Real Choices on how abortions are performed:

First Trimester (1-12 weeks)
Suction Curettage
Dilation and Curettage

Second Trimester (13-26 weeks)
Dilation and Evacuation
Less Commonly Used Methods
• Saline
• Prostaglandin
• Urea Instillation

Second and Third Trimester
Dilation and Evacuation

First Trimester (1-12 weeks)
Suction Curettage
The abortionist dilates (opens) the cervix with mechanical dilators or laminaria (a porous substance that is typically inserted the day before the abortion). Overnight the laminaria gradually dilates the cervix by soaking up fluid. The day of the abortion, the abortionist attaches tubing to a suction machine, and inserts the tubing into the uterus. The suction created by the vacuum pulls the unborn baby’s body apart and detaches the placenta from the wall of the uterus, sucking the fetal parts and placenta into a collection bottle.

Dilation and Curettage (D&C, or Sharp Curettage)
This method is not as common anymore for abortions, because it requires more dilation and more time, and is considered less safe than suction curettage. The cervix is dilated and a curette or loop-shaped knife is inserted into the uterus to cut apart the unborn baby and scrape the uterine lining to detach the placenta. All body parts and membranes are then scraped out of the mother’s body.

Second Trimester (13-26 weeks)
Dilation and Evacuation (D&E)
At this point in pregnancy, the unborn baby’s body is too large to be broken up by suction, and it will not pass through the tubing. The cervix needs to be dilated more than in a first-trimester abortion. This is usually accomplished by inserting the laminaria a day or two before the abortion. The abortionist then dismembers the body parts. The skull is crushed and the spine broken to facilitate removal.

Less Commonly Used Methods
Saline, Prostaglandin, and Urea Instillation – These methods, more common during the 1970s and 1980s, are rarely used now, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), which reported that they accounted for only 0.7% of all abortions in 1991.

In a saline abortion, the abortionist injects a concentrated salt solution through the mother’s abdomen into the amniotic sac surrounding the baby. The fetus absorbs the solution, which causes burning, hemorrhage, edema and shock, and eventually death. The saline also causes the uterus to contract and expel the baby.

Prostaglandin abortions are performed by injecting a prostaglandin hormone into the amniotic sac. The hormone stimulates uterine contractions to expel the fetus, who has usually died, although a 1978 study showed that up to 7% of the babies aborted with prostaglandin showed signs of life.

Urea Instillation
Urea abortions are similar to saline abortions but are not as effective. They are thought to have fewer complications for the mother. Urea infusion is more commonly combined with later-term D&E abortions to soften fetal tissues for easier, safer, and less painful removal.

Second and Third Trimester
Dilation and Extraction
Congressional action in 1996 brought to light yet another procedure for aborting late-term unborn babies. This technique, called D&X abortion does not dismember the fetus; rather the fetus is delivered intact, without infusions.

As described and performed by abortion doctor Martin Haskell, D&X abortions take three days to complete. In the first two days, the woman’s cervix is dilated with laminaria in two or more sessions, with medication given for cramping. On the day of the procedure, the laminaria are removed, and the patient is injected with pitocin to induce contractions.

The abortion doctor next determines the fetus’ orientation in the uterus through ultrasound, and locates the legs. Grasping a leg with large forceps, he then pulls the leg into the vagina, and delivers the baby (live) up to the baby’s head with his hands.

Next, the abortionist slides his hand up the baby’s back and hooks his fingers over the shoulders of the baby. Then, a pair of scissors is inserted into the base of the skull to create an opening. Removing the scissors, he inserts a suction catheter into the opening, and suctions out the skull contents. Minus the brains, the skull decompresses, and is easy to remove. Finally, the abortionist removes the placenta with forceps and scrapes the uterine walls with a suction curette.

Does this sound any less cruel than what the Baal worshipers did? To me, it sounds worse. Did you know that 40% of pregnancies in the US end in abortion? Also, since 1973, 30 million abortions have been performed in the US. The total US population is 310 million. That amounts to roughly 10% of the US population being killed. How can we live with this? When we stand before God, and believe me we all will, He will judge us and find us lacking as nation. Stand-up for what is right, protect morality and protect our children!
