The Devil and Your Finances

One thing you don’t want is the devil in your finances. The devil might promise you riches, but in return he’ll ask for your soul. Personally, that is not a great deal nor even a good deal. Eternity is heaven is better than untold riches on earth.

The picture above is nowhere near a representation of the devil. You see Lucifer (morning star) was a beautiful, intelligent angel. As humans, we’ve turned him into a red skinned, horned, long-tailed individual with a pitchfork. We try to make him into something/someone we can easily identify as evil. However, that is simply untrue. Lucifer is crafty. He knows how to tempt us.

How does the devil get into your finances? He does it through temptation. He tempts us with the promise of riches. Riches that he claims we can get through get-rich schemes, by cheating our customers, by lying, stealing, or by the all so tempting, “You deserve that item. You’ve worked hard. Go ahead buy it. There’s a credit card that will let you get it right now.”

It is so easy to get the devil into your finances by accepting his narrative. He is lurking in your finances, and it’s time to face it.
