Storage units

If you have a storage unit or storage units, you are most likely paying anywhere from $45 to over $100 a month depending on the size of the unit. If you rent a climate controlled unit, then the costs are even higher.

Chances are the stuff you have in there has been there for several months, if not years. Do you even remember what you have stored away? Do yourself a big favor and go through the stuff. Sell the stuff that you have in there. You haven’t used it, so you obviously don’t need it.

Use the money from the sale of these items to pay down debt. Additionally, the money you are throwing away in storage fees can be used to bolster your emergency fund or to pay down debt. Stop wasting money on things you don’t need.
